An Indian Navy warship swiftly responds to a maritime incident in the Gulf of Aden, rescuing crew members of the Barbados-flagged bulk carrier MV True Confidence after a drone attack resulted in a fire onboard and critical injuries to some crew members. The incident occurred approximately 55 nautical miles southwest of Aden.

The frontline Indian Naval warship INS Kolkata, deployed for maritime security operations, promptly answered the distress call, rescuing 21 crew members, including one Indian national, from the life raft using its integral helicopter and boats. Additionally, critical medical aid was administered to the injured crew by the ship’s medical team.
